yes mister kruger, ..., and what did you get from riding on your, bike?...[ a big black dog, hahaha!] sorry Jacob but, i, just had to say that. i love bikes. years ago i lost a very special friend. he was on a bike when thee accident happened. now, my brother also goes on these rallies and ride on a big bike, but, i do not even want to hear about it, because, you almost have no, chance if there is an accident! it is a time saver but dangerous because cars some times have no respect for bikes on the road. i love riding on one if and when i can catch a lift with some one. that great feeling when you pull away, is not replaceable but is stays dodgy, these days. ALL THE BEST TO YOU MY FRIEND. GOOD LUCK WITH ALL YOUR TRAVELING TO WORK AND BACK. OH YES, I WORKED WITH A BLIND GUY THAT ALSO,HAD A CAR AND A LISENCE.HE ALWAYS LOVED TO SHOW PEOPLE HIS LISENCE AND PRETENDED TO GET BEHIND THE WHEEL WITH THE WHITE CANE IN HIS HAND. DO YOU KNOW THAT, SOME PEOPLE THOUGHT THAT HE COULD REALLY GET IN AND JUST DRIVE OFF, ALL THOUGH HE IS BLIND. HAHAHA!SOME PEOPLES, CHILDREN... LOL! CHEERS. Yes, have pretty much made up mind to go for the employer-arranged offer for now, since it will be the most reliable, and, yes, think it will also partly be a good sign in terms of employer-employee relationship. Now not related, but will just mention something that have told lots of friends in the past <smile> - I never actually had a car driver's licence since really just stuck to motorcycles, and aside from better petrol costs, I figured out that by having driven myself to work in a car like 3 times in my employed lifetime ever, I had saved myself something like 7000 hours of my life, since, for example, from where I stay to my last work location when was still sighted, in a car it would take around 45 minutes to roundabout an hour and 20 minutes in peak morning traffic, whereas on my bikes it took around 25 minutes traffic or not - and this is not due to riding illegally as such, but it's just that you could cut between traffic at robots, etc. etc. Stay well Jacob Kruger Blind Biker Skype: BlindZA '...fate had broken his body, but not his spirit...' ----- Original Message ----- From: Magda Felgate To: blindza@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Thursday, March 31, 2011 8:25 PM Subject: [blindza] Re: Transport stuff - possible arrangement JACOB, I THINK YOU SHOULD GO FOR IT! RATHER GET A BIT OF MONEY OUT PER MONTH AND GET TO WORK, THAN, HAVING PROBLEMS AND, IN THEE END, PERHAPS BE WITH OUT A JOB! WHEN WE WERE POSTED TO STANDARD BANK SIMMONS STREET, THEY PROVIDED TRANSPORT FOR 6 MONTHS..., BUT AFTER THAT I HAD TO TAKE A RETRENCHMENT BECAUSE THE COMPANY DID NOT WANT ME TO WORK FLEXI TIME BECAUSE I HAD TO MAKE ARRANGEMENTS FROM PRETORIA NORTH, RIGHT INTO JOHANNESBURG. THEE ONLY PERSON THAT I COULD FIND THAT WAS PREPARED TO HELP, WORKED DIFFERENT OURS TO MINE. GOING WITH TAXI, BUS, TRAIN AND THEN AGAIN ONTO A NETHER TAXI, THERE IN THE MORNINGS AND THEN THE SAME OLD STORY IN THEE AFTERNOONS, TO GET BACK HOME, JUST DID NOT WORK. I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR WORK SINCE THEN AN IT IS JUST IMPOSSIBLE. NOW, I HAVE GIVEN UP. I HAVE TO EXCEPT THAT I AM A HOME EXECUTIVE NOW AND JUST PUT MYSELF ONTO PENSION. HAHAHAHA! PITY, BECAUSE I HAVE STILL , GOT A LOT, OF, WOEMA, IN ME. YOU KNOW ME! I PRAY THAT THINGS WILL WORK OUT RIGHT FOR YOU MY GUIDE DOGGY, FRIEND. LOVE YOU LOTS. I KNOW THAT YOU HAVE MORE COURAGE IN YOUR BODY THAN MOST OTHER PEOPLE THAT I KNOW. EVEN ONCE THAT HAVE NO EYE, PROBLEMS. THIS IS TALKING ABOUT TRANSPORT. WHAT YOU MAY SUGGEST, ONCE YOU KNOW THIS GUY AND YOU GET ALONG WITH HIM AND YOU FIND HIM TRUST WORTHY, THAT HE SLEEPS OVER SOME NIGHTS, TO CUT DOWN ON HIS TAXI MONEY. ... BUT THEN YOU HAVE TO FEED HIM AGAIN. SO, ONE OF THIS, OR, TWO OF THEE OTHER? IN THEE END YOU WILL FIND A WAY. ONCE YOUR BOSS SEES THAT YOU ARE TOTALLY COMMITTED, HE MIGHT TELL YOU TO ONLY COME IN EVERY SECOND DAY OR SO. PLAY IT BY EAR MY FRIEND! THINKING OF YOU. MAGDA AND LIARA. I haven't heard back from soccerMom.co.za via email as of yet, and might still phone them, just in case, but I sort of need to make up my mind whether or not to at least try this arrangement for now, by tomorrow morning. Suppose, at least this would be a sort of confidence builder for my employer etc., if that makes sense, and would also definitely make the driver sign something like a responsibility agreement, in that I wouldn't hold him responsible if something went wrong, unless he'd specifically caused it, in which case, then definitely. Like said, thoughts? Stay well Jacob Kruger Blind Biker Skype: BlindZA '...fate had broken his body, but not his spirit...'
