Sounds like a 'good' thing, but I still reckon something like teleporting like they do in Star Trek would be the best - LOL!

Today Finn and Somaya are talking about Junior, the self-driving car. LINK: Audio file (Real player format) http://news.bbc.co.uk/media/audio/44010000/rm/_44010961_fri200707bbcxtraenglish.ramEvery year, about a million people a year die on the roads around the world. Almost every accident is the result of human error. Could driverless cars
change all this? There are already self-parking cars. Now Stanford University in the US is developing a driverless car. It's called Junior and is a normal car but with a lot of expensive equipment which senses the edge of the road, and reacts to things like other cars or pedestrians.
But Junior isn't a very good driver, because it's actually too cautious at junctions. The university team are now trying to make the car less cautious.
A self-driving car could be very good for disabled people, for example visually impaired people. People get tired or angry when they drive, but with self-driving
cars there would be no more road-rage.And if the cars' computers could communicate with each other, perhaps there would be no more traffic jams. And, of course - no more accidents.
