When I read this i was wondering if the reason the movie was not popular
was that it reminded Austrailians of a past that they want to forget.

The movie 'Sound of Music' was not like by the people of Austrea, since it
showed the people supporting the NAZI's.

Hi John,

I'm pleased you enjoyed the movie "Australia." Here, in Australia, the movie
received very poor reviews. Most reviewers regarding the story line as
nothing but a set of Australian cliches that reflect little of Australia's
true character. All reviewers agree however that the cinematography and
production were excellent.

I've not viewed the movie myself, but now that I have your recommendation,
I'll track it down on DVD.

Thanks,

John in Australia.

Hi John in Australia.

I was waiting for the movie you mentioned called Austrailia to come out in
blue ray, and it has and I bought it. Good movie.
