I am one of the fortunate individuals who owns the suite.  I like it very
much.  However, a change has occurred recently.  I used to record a program
on Sunday night from WFUV using stream capture.  The results were great.
The station has changed something with their streaming and I can no longer
record the program using stream capture.  The URL finder does not work.

To me, the quality of the recording is better using stream capture and also
the files are smaller.

I have not updated anything in my suite lately because I was happy with what
it does.

You just enter the relevant codes for each program of the suite and it
converts the demo into a full-fledged non-encumbered program.
As for whether you can purchase the program other than through the online
ordering process, I'll leave that for someone else to address.
I have ordered at least twice from Applian online without a problem; and
the process is straightforward and simple with you almost instantaneoulsly
receiving the needed info via email.
