[blindeudora] External Text Editor?

Hi,
is it possible to configure Eudora to use an external thhird party
text editor for composing a new message rather than its own native editor?
I understand that such is not an unusual feature for an advanced
mailer like Eudora but I have not found any such setting in its options dialog.
If this feature exists, I would appreciate a pointer where it can be
found and how to set this up.
The reason I am intersted in this is that I would like to start using
nvda full time and Eudora's main editor window is the only part the
latest nvda snapshots cannot work with yet. and,no, I am not ready to
ditch Eudora!
