Regarding the bags in boiling water, we have the ziplock bags here in our
country too, same brand and from what I have read, the company had been
contacted to find out the safety of using these bags in boiling water to cook
food items. The consumer advice department for ziplock said the bags were not
to be used in boiling water, the bags were made from a specific type plastic.
I know not all we read on the web is correct, or even what we hear, but seems
many have contacted ziplock about this as the omelette recipe was doing the
rounds here at one stage too, they are not recommended to be used in boiling
water, apparently.

Kind Regards. Valerie

I have a friend who makes her omelets this way all the time. If I do it, I'll
figure out a way to use the boilin bags that you can use when you seal meals or
packages to be frozen or boiled. That would be fine. The lady I know who does
this all the time loves to make these.
And she's a health nut. So I figure she's seen these warnings too.
