[blindcooks] Re: Thoughts/suggestions on breathing in a small cooking area, with not a lot of air flow?

Window in this kitchen doesn't help much, and, no ceiling fan, or oven-hood.

Issue is really that the kitchen's total floor area, for example, is roundabout 3 meters x 3 meters, and that includes the area where the stove stands/takes up some of it.

As in, this is truly a tiny kitchen - my total of counter-top area can even try use at moment is roundabout 30cm x 60cm - hence, I currently even cut everything up over stove, unless really need to do something more with it, in which case will move over to the table in open-plan room next door.

How about just opening the window. Or does your stove have an exhaust hood. Or
is there a ceiling fan.
A little clip on fan would work if you have none of these options available
though.

Subject: [blindcooks] Thoughts/suggestions on breathing in a small cooking
area, with not a lot of air flow?

Like subject line says, for example, got a pot of a form of chicken
curry on ther go here, where the primary flavouring is a sort of
authentic tikka masala mix, and, in my rather small kitchen, it means
that seem to, quite often, need to move away from stove, take a deep
breath or two, and, then go back to carry on stirring, etc.

At least it's now past that part of the cooking process, and, is just
simmering away on the stove, so when go back to mix it up every now and
then, it's not really an issue, but, especially in first part of
process, frying up the spices along with the onions and oil, and then
when browning meat, this was an ongoing thing.

Anyway, on the lighter side, was thinking that could wear something like
a bandit bandana, or a surgeon's mask while cooking in an environment
like this, but, suppose the feasible/right thing to do would just be to
set up something like a counter-top fan nearby?
