OATMEAL BROWN SUGAR COOKIES

This old-fashioned drop oatmeal cookie is everyone's  favorite.
      Yield: 3 1/2 dozen cookies

Ingrediants
1 ½ cups firmly packed brown sugar
1 cup LAND O LAKES® Butter, softened
1 egg
2 cups uncooked quick-cooking or old-fashioned oats
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
1       cup candy-coated milk chocolate pieces

Directions
Heat oven to 375°F.
Combine brown sugar, butter and egg in  large bowl. Beat at medium speed,
scraping bowl often, until creamy.
Reduce  speed to low;
add all remaining cookie ingredients.
Beat until well mixed. Stir  in chocolate pieces by hand.
Drop dough by tablespoonfuls, 2 inches apart, onto ungreased  cookie sheets.
Bake for 10 to 14 minutes or until light golden brown on edges.
Let stand 1 minute; remove from cookie sheets. Cool completely. .

TIP: Stir in 2 teaspoons freshly grated lemon peel  into dough, if
desired.

Knowing your own darkness is the best method for dealing with the darknesses
of other people.
-Filled with light, Sugar.
