Makes me think “microsoft accessibility to the rescue”.
As if anything was of the original nature of their purpose.
They’ve got a 3/1 record with me if that is any consolation.
I’m also wondering if there is a place, or type of graphics that jfw 17 isn’t
accomplished. So secondarily FS help desk.
Have a great day.

Hi,
Bless you nice thought but sadly it’s a signature collision so changing the
names of it won’t quite fix it. If one can find it in the graphical table if
disc management and set it to online from offline status it usually resolves
the problem. Sadly however, under win10 with JFW 17 so far I’m unable to locate
the necessary graphical representation to click on just yet.
I appreciate your kindness in responding though. That should be my biggest
problem in life right (smile)? It is an interesting techno curiosity though
indeed.

Curious,
If you unplug one of them, then change the name of the other, does that let you
see both?
I had this with two Lasie drives.
But of course win7.
Best of luck.

Hi Everyone,
I have seen this problem before and was able to solve it under windows 7 but so
far its solution eludes me under windows 10. It happens when you’ve two
of the same model of western digital mybook drives plugged into the same pc.
Both show up under device manager but only one can be seen in file explorer
which formerly was windows explorer in earlier versions of windows and only one
is seen under disc management in control panel.
It doesn’t happen if you’ve two drives of differing sizes from Western digital
or two drives of differing brands.
If anyone’s encountered this and found a way to get that second drive to come
online and become visible I’d love to hear about it.
thanks in advance.
Robin
