If anybody is wondering why I'm sending out lots of messages related to the BARD service it's because this topic was discussed during tonight's call and I wanted to send out a few relevant links.

The following site contains information regarding the NLS digital talking book machine. Please note that, while anybody is welcome to read this information, its primary audience is employees of NLS libraries for assisting patrons. Having said that, the majority of the information contained on this site will be very understandable to the average user but its main purpose is to act as a sort of reference for NLS librarians to assist patrons with questions or problems. If you go through all of the material on this site I guarantee you will be quite the expert on this machine.
