For some reason, I'm unable to foward the press release I just received/not
sure what's going on with my Verizon account using my iPhone but this is a
low-priority item at the moment.
Essentially, FS and Optelec are merging into one company, something I would
never have expected. Optelec is known for its video magnifiers, as is Freedom
Scientific, and so I'm not quite sure how FS benefits. However, the press
release notes that both companies were bought by a company called Vector
Capital based in San Fransisco and so I'm wondering if this was a decision from
the parent company. I'm sure the press release is on Freedom Scientific's site.
