Hi,
Yes I did get there and it was exactly as you described so hearing active was a
bit of an interesting moment but I went ahead and played anyway I figured how
much of a mess could I make anyway.
I figured that address would work it was just the sign in link on the original
article’s page that was either dead or nonexistent depending on your browser as
I first reported. I’m all activated now and all seems well. Yay!

Robin,
After working with this a bit more I can confirm that you should be able to go
to
customer.xfinity.com
which is, essentially, the address or URL for the My Account portal.
From this page, you should, after a few seconds, be greeted with a standard
logon screen with two edit fields, one for your Xfinity email address/user name
and the second for your logon password.
Once this information has been entered, the main My Account page should load.
Once you see that the My Account page has loaded, look for the link labeled
"Users." This should be above the level 1 heading.
Press enter/spacebar on the Users link.
Once the Users page has loaded, there should be links to choose which user you
want to access, in order to modify that user's settings. You should be listed
as one of the available users, perhaps even the primary one. Whether you're the
primary account holder or a secondary user, choose the user with your name,
which should be a link.
Once your user page loads, there will be a variety of settings, each one
beginning at its own heading. This means that you can press the letter H to
jump from one setting to the next. These keys will work, whether you're using
JAWS or NVDA.
Eventually, as you move from one heading to the next, you will find the heading
labeled Two-step Verification.
Below that heading is a link labeled "Edit."
Press enter on that "Edit" link and there will be a checkbox to enable or
disable two-step verification.
At the moment, it may announce the word "active" even if it's unchecked, as in
"active, check box, not checked"
I believe I have reported this bug to the My Account team. Our own team has
spent a great deal of time with the My Account Web site, along with the iOS and
Android apps, trying to report any accessibility-specific bugs. Admittedly, the
My Account Web site is constantly adding features and so it's quite a moving
target, meaning that there could be issues we haven't seen yet. We've tested
the site with JAWS and Internet Explorer along with NVDA and Firefox.
Obviously, if you discover any issues with the site, don't hesitate to let me
know what's happening.

Hi,
Thanks for this. As I went to the link for the article you sent and the sign
in link on the page as it appears in IE 11 does not work with JFW 18 or Nvda
2017. Further when I bring up the article page in Fire Fox the sign in link
doesn't even appear. Is it just me? I'll go to the page you mentioned in this
message and give that a whirl.

Sure, no worries. It is likely available via
customer.xfinity.com
After signing in, you will *probably* need to go to Settings and then
the option to edit settings for the specific user on your account, which
is probably you. It's been a few weeks since I've seen the actual option
and so I admit my memory's a tad hazy.

Oh happy day I must play with this at once. I tweeted at them about this
not long ago how lovely for it to appear (smile).
Thanks for letting us know of it.

Two-factor Authentication for Better Security
Comcast has rolled out two-factor authentication or what they call
two-step verification for users who sign on either to their Web site or
their apps. To break it down into what I hope is plain English, it
offers a second layer of security when you sign in with your user name
and password. Even after entering your user name and password, you have
the option of receiving a six-digit verification code, which can be sent
to an email address of your choosing or as a text message to your
smartphone. Once you get this six-digit code, you enter it in an edit
box which will appear on the page. This process is an additional way for
you to verify that this is really you logging in and not an impostor.
This is an option and not something you have to go through. When I last
tested this it was accessible and was easy to turn on or off when using
a screen reader. However, if anything about this doesn't work as
expected from the perspective of accessibility, please let me know. The
instructions for enabling two-step verification can be found at
https://www.xfinity.com/support/account/enroll-2-step-verification/
