[blind-philly-comp] Re: Blindbargains BBQast Discusses New Daisy Players

Also, and certainly only regarding the website, the recording of the interview,
had at least 5 minutes of "other stuff" so just hearing of the product was not
only without brand name, but was long to get to with conversation. I know I
should have downloaded it instead of the website player. But I kept looking for
the link to "compare new player to victor" or something like that, and was
frustrated trying to find it (without google ads, and a lot of other stuff)
then had to listen to chatter, and then did not get the name of the player.
This is not one of my favorite sites, though it is one of the better blindness
info providers by far.
I've gotten zero response to writing to them. ...and have found often that
there was "no such found" or "offer expired".
... then sometimes "life happens" and I'm looking for argument as I'm not
condemning... and in the long run, it's just that internet world.

Jan,
Your announcement about the new Daisy player was not uninformative. In fact, I
might not have heard about it had you not posted it. What was problematic was
that the Web site itself didn't seem to mention the name of the actual player
but this is hardly your fault. <grin>

Thanks, David. I'm afraid it was me who posted that rather
uninformative listing.

Last week, someone posted an announcement to the list about a new
talking Daisy player and I commented that, while the player sounded
nice, I could find no mention of the actual name of the product. The
latest version of the BlindBargains podcast has an interview
discussing what I believe is this new player. I've not heard it yet
but saw the announcement and plan to listen to it sometime this week.
