Highlight the whole file.

Go to font, and uncheck "hidden" if it is checked, will make them vanish I 
think.

Hi G. cindy,

Thanks for the tip, but it is not working.  It continues to say paragraph
marker.  I have no frigging idea what is going on here. *sigh*  I can't get
it to go back to default settings, it does not follow commands.  Plan and
simple...my computer is evil.
