At the moment, I'm not sure how to put a checkmark there, but would the letter X count. Oftentimes, people seem willing to accept this as a check.

Elizabeth, I need to write check marks next to the tasks that I did for each
date listed to show my associates that I completed it.

What do you want do do in Excel exactly? What do you want to "write check
