Cindy,

When did you live in Minneapolis? I moved away from there a year a go. I
lived there for nearly a decade. I was born and raised in Sacramento,
before that. I now live in Northern Utah. What I have found to be the same
in all three places is the differences in accents. I have been accused of
being a valley girl, and then of having an almost Canadian accent. Out
here, some people think I am from here because of my willingness to use
common phrases like "Oh, my heck!" Actually, I think it's the difference in
how people refer to soft drinks that is most pronounced. In California
people call them sodas. In Minnesota, the term is pop. Out here it seems
to be a combination of both. At least wherever we are, we still love to
read books!
