Where did you get these guidelines? Is there a list of other guidelines? I thought I remembered hearing about a file you were supposed to get, but I must have lost it or maybe I'm dreaming? -----Original Message----- From: bksvol-discuss-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:bksvol-discuss-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Pratik Patel Sent: Monday, December 27, 2004 3:42 PM To: bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: moving down a line Robert, Here are the basic guidelines about page numbers and headers. . If a all possible, all page number should be preserved whether they appear at the top of the page or the bottom. 2. If possible, all other header/footer material should be removed. 3. If the page number appears at the top of the page, it should be on the very first line without any additional material preceeding it. (I.E. it should be all by itself without anything else on the same line or above it.) 4. There must be a blank line between the line that contains the page number and the beginning of the page contents. (There can be multiple blank lines. But, there must be at least one.) 5. If the page number appears at the bottom of the page, then, it should be at the very last line of the page. (nothing else should appear on the line with the page number. No other lines should appear below the line with the page number.) 6. There must be at least one blank line immediately preceeding the line that contains the page number. (There can be more than one.) I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any questions. I kept up on the thread about leaving a blank line but got confused on whether to leave a blank line between the page number and the header. Kurzweil leave a blank line between pages. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kellie Hartmann" <kellhart@xxxxxxxxxx> To: <bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, December 27, 2004 12:46 PM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: moving down a line > Robert, why do you want to move the page numbers down?
