I want to make sure the page numbers stay in after the header stripper does it's thing. I kept up on the thread about leaving a blank line but got confused on whether to leave a blank line between the page number and the header. Kurzweil leave a blank line between pages.

Robert, why do you want to move the page numbers down? There's no way to do
this except by hand.
Also, the confidence level doesn't affect your scanning results. It is just
a report to let you know how confident the program is that it has correctly
recognized the characters on the page. Turning it down simply means that if
the scan is bad, you won't hear about it. I think it would be good to keep
it at around 97 or so, but everyone has their own preferences.
