1 for I is easy to fix. First of all, do find and replace on "1 have" "1 am" "1 will" "1 was" "1 had" and replace with I in the phrase in each case. Then just go through the book and do a find with out the replace and manually fix any 1 to I which is remaining noting context.
If you are getting 1 for I in your scans check your brightness settings. Also check other issues. Usually docs with 1 for I also have die for the and witti for with.
