Okay, I just checked the same books in the daisy format, and they are
in better shape. The pagination is accurate, and you can tell where
the chapters are. One book is still missing the words Chapter but the
numbers are there so that's good. The other one is perfect, the one
that had the word Chapter but was missing the chapter numbers in the
braille file. I suspect the reason the numbers were missing in the
.brf file is due to the same bug that causes the page numbers not to
translate consistently. 

So it looks like the stripper is partly the problem, and the braille
translation contributes to the problem too. 

But hey, I'm calmer now, since I know the formatting is for the most
part intact in the daisy format. So it looks like if chapters are
important to people, they're more likely to show up in the Daisy
format. I'm glad we have that option, because I know we've all been
going to a lot of extra work these days to preserve formatting.
