I want to thank Cindy for her excellent picture descriptions for the Caldicott
book "The Three Pigs" which I just validated. From the descriptions I can tell
that the pictures in this book must be very complex, and some also rather
surreal. The pictures are essential to understanding the book, so a blind child
or parent would definitely need description to follow the story. I think the
Bookshare staff should definitely brag about the fact that Bookshare has
children's books with picture descriptions.
I know that describing pictures can be challenging, but the results are really
worthwhile.
