Scott, I'd recommend stripping them by hand unless you're talking about a textbook. You may want to leave them in if this is a textbook since many volunteers have indicated that they'd prefer headers be left in textbooks to help the reader find which sections they want to read. Of course, leaving them in doesn't guarantee that the Stripper won't remove some, or nearly all, of them. If it's just a fiction book for pleasure reading, though, then I'd recommend going ahead and stripping them manually. So, my current scan/validation project is one wherein the left hand pages consistently have the title of the book, (except where new chapters begin of course), but the headers on the right hand pages change depending on what section or part of the book I'm currently scanning. Should I simply leave these changing headers in? Or is it best to get rid of all headers in this situation, just leaving the page numbers intact and protecting chapter headings where necessary? Let me know if I can be more clear in my query, and thanks for any and all help, Scott To unsubscribe from this list send a blank Email to bksvol-discuss-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx put the word 'unsubscribe' by itself in the subject line.
