Thank you, Mayrie! Yes, it works like a charm in Word 2010!! It does seem
that if one ignores the ribbon menu for the most part, the older Word commands
still work!!

Thanks again, and have a great day!!

Sue S.

Hi Sue,

You can turn off and on underlining in any place by selecting the text,
highlighting it, in other words, and pressing control plus u. That is a
toggle, so if the selected text is underlined it'll be made not so, and if the
text that is selected is not underlined, it'll become underlined.

That works in Word 2003, and I suspect it will in Word 2010 too.

Hope that helps you!

If I have left out any steps, please ask again.

Happy proofreading!

Mayrie

Hi folks,

In the book I have started to proof, some page numbers are underlined, and
there is no reason for this. If I deletethe numbers and type them again, they
are still underlined. Is there a fix for this in Word 2010?

Thanks,

Sue S.
