Hi Sue, You can turn off and on underlining in any place by selecting the text, highlighting it, in other words, and pressing control plus u. That is a toggle, so if the selected text is underlined it'll be made not so, and if the text that is selected is not underlined, it'll become underlined. That works in Word 2003, and I suspect it will in Word 2010 too. Hope that helps you! If I have left out any steps, please ask again. Happy proofreading! If I deletethe numbers and type them again, they are still underlined. Is there a fix for this in Word 2010? Thanks, Sue S.
