Hi, sounds like the line should read "Jove Books, New York". I'd correct the
questionable word to read "books". Isn't it nice when you know what a word
is supposed to be? Anyhow, if you're unsure, email the submitter (if you're
corresponding). I recommend that you keep in contact with the submitter (in
case you have his/her email address) because he/she may be able to help you
out in verifying how his/her text
Is supposed to read. The fly in the ointment occurs if the scano is in fact
not a scano but a typographical error in the printed text. In this instance,
you're not allowed to correct it (which bugs me but that's the policy).
Regards, Kim Friedman.

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Typo or scano?

Hi All,

In the book I'm proofing, there is a line; I think it's an address:

JOVE BOMS, NEW YOBK

My guess is that this is a scanno. My question is, should I correct it or
not? Opinions? Thanks a bunch!
Marty R
