I've seen him on both the K1000 list and the Window Eyes list not long ago. The
most recent message from him I've seen is to the Window Eyes list on February
20.

I think Doug did a book of his within the past couple of months, but I have
not seen him on the list in two years or so, I would guess...

Let me say, Cindy, that during the long time that you were unsubscribed
from this list and did not know it someone was asking a question similar to
yours about both you and Bud. Someone said that Bud had been spotted recently
on another blind related list. I forget which one and I am not subscribed to
it, whichever one it is, because I have not personally spotted him since the
last time I did on the Bookshare lists and that has been a long time now.

I don't know what to say, since I didn't know her on a personal, i.e.,
offlist level, but I do appreciate all the excellent work she did for
bookshare; as you say, she was a hardworking, and not only that but always did
an excellent job--for bookshare. Please add my condolences

      Cindy

P.S. her passing reminds me. I asked before but haven't heard; does
anyone know anything about --darn; at this moment I can't remember his name (I
did when I wrote earlier to ask) but he lives (I hope it's still present tense)
in Malibu, if I remember correctly, and was housebound; his wife went to the
library to get books for him to scan; he, too was(is?) an active volunteer, and
a member of our geriatric club. That's why I'm worried. He is, or was, one of
our older members, if I remember correctly from the various conversations and
reminiscences we older folk had on the list (providing a bit of history for you
younger folk smile.
