HI Monica:

I am going to look at it again. I think it might be a rescan candidate though.

Hi, Grace. I don't think I'd better take the book. I've committed myself to doing the batch I've got and know I can't take on more books at this point. Is the book in ark format? I know that these kinds of books aren't your cup of tea. If it is an ark file and you think it really can be cleaned up, please put it back on step 1 and I'll make a point of working on it once I finish with the ones I have now. If it needs a rescan, I'd rather see it rejected so one of us can rescan it because we end up scanning pages into the document anyhow.

I have the cross roads. Do you want it? It looks like it might need some work, but if you're interested in reading it, perhaps it can be fixed. Let me know.

Rick, I'm validating a companion book to the one you're working on. I think we're encountering some stylized writing for the chapter headings. I think that as long as the book has page breaks, it can be accepted. Chapter headings do get messed up, and it would be nice to fix them. That's not always possible, and if the text of the book is legible, I think Gustavo will approve it. Teresa has scanned some interesting books lately, and I'm glad people are working on validating them. (smile)

Is Theresa Taylor on this list?

If so, please if she (you) would write me I have questions about book
submission of The Postcard by Beverly Lewis. Trying to figure out chapters
mostly. Scanos not bad in text narrative, but I would like to be able to
complete validation with this information figured out.

I don't know - if I cannot determine that, is the book in jeopardy for
acceptance into the collection?

Since the book has a main character who is blind, I will do my best to
assure a quality final copy in the Bookshare collection. (Well, okay, I
would anyway!) <g>

Thanks in advance for whatever help or suggestions.
