I just went through the most recent NLS "Braille Book Review" and "Talking
Books Review," and found perhaps 6 books total that I wanted to read.
In contrast, just today alone I've already downloaded 6 books from
yesterday's new additions to the Bookshare collection - and 64 books total
so far this month. That total doesn't even include the books I've wanted
to read that I've validated myself this month.
Bookshare gives me the opportunity to read the kinds of books I want to
read. When I look at the new additions page each day, I feel like I'm
going to an independent bookstore where the readers true tastes reflect
the stock.
Yay Bookshare, and a heartfelt Thank You to all the volunteers and staff
who are making this happen!
