Yes, that's the author. Since it's been adapted by Tracey West, for your future such submissions, you'd enter Tracey West (adapter) Rather than just Tracey West in to the Author field. I'm a little confused about your copyright question. You say that you didn't find "C by" on any of the pages, yet you found "C 1999 by New York Scholastic" somewhere in the book. Do you mean to say that, by "any of the pages", you didn't find anything about copyright on any of the text pages of the book; in other words, the NY Scholastic copyright was present on a dedicated copyright page, and there was no other copyright notice throughout the book? If I'm understanding that correctly, in that the "C 1999 by New York Scholastic" was the only copyright notice in the book, then yes, the copyright holder is New York Scholastic . Since the copyright holder seems to be the publisher rather than the adapter, for your future such submissions, you might want to include the copyright page as part of your comments for the book to prevent it from possibly being kicked back to Step 1 from the admin approval queue for copyright verification. Section 3 of the Volunteer Manual, in the section entitled "Guidelines for Filling out Submission and Validation Forms", also contains useful information for situations like this, with examples, that you might find helpful. Attack of the Prehistoric Pokemon Tracey West Ash, Misty, Brock and Pickachu go on a Pokemon fossil dig. They become trapped in a dark cave with both Team Rocket and fierce, prehistoric Pokemon! I had a little trouble with this book and the one I submitted yesterday. Maybe someone can give me advice on how to handle these questions as I have one more Pokemon book. The title page reads quote adapted by Tracey West unquote. Is that the same as the author? I also had trouble with the copyright holder. The only place I could find anything about the copyright was C1999 by New York Scholastic Is that the copyright holder? I saw nothing about copyright by on any of the pages. -- Mary Anne Lynskey To unsubscribe from this list send a blank Email to bksvol-discuss-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx put the word 'unsubscribe' by itself in the subject line.
