FOR IMMEDIATE DISTRIBUTION

Excitement ran high throughout the 36-hour Bookshare Community party Friday
evening and Saturday morning as participants played games, described their
costumes and the Harry Potter character they depicted, ate lots of virtual
Harry Potter food and drank a lot of virtual Harry Potter beverages, heard
the countdown in London where the first Book 7 went on sale, heard a tiny
bit of J. K. Rolling reading the book to several thousand in London, heard
Jim Dale reading a bit of the the book at the large Borders gathering in New
York, listened to a 30-minute interview with the author conducted by Stephen
Fry, and much more, but it is safe to say that the high point of the party
really occurred when Christopher Friendly from the Bookshare Office
announced at 4:21 a.m. Saturday that "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows"
was in the Bookshare collection ready for download. Kudos to Carrie and
Christopher for their tireless effort to make this happen.

Although no special plans have been made for Tuesday evening, stop by
anyway. We'd love to hear your reaction to the final book in this much
talked about series. Did it end the way you anticipated? Or, you just might
find answers to a book scanning or validating problem or learn more about
how to search the collection. We know for certain, though, that you will
find a group of book lovers ready to discuss their special reading interest.
