Hi Jake,
Do you know what Bookshare is using to determine whether a file is an rtf?
Or have they written their own code to do it? Anyway, it seems like
something that Bookshare needs to fix on their end--unless Kurzweil is
actually generating slightly-nonstandard rtf files.

is difficult in nature to address, because every other program seems to accept
the files as valid. Opening the RTF file in some other capable editor like
Word, typing a space, erasing that space by hitting backspace and then saving
the file eliminates the problem.
