Frankly, I prefer volunteer produced books over publisher quality books.
So, scan away and make folks happy.

That's what I do, scan what I want. True, your book may be replaced if it is
from a publisher that Bookshare has an agreement with, but that could be
next week or next year. There's no way of knowing. Meanwhile, you, if you
scan a book you want to read, and the proofreader, get to read the book
anyway, and however many other people who download it before it is replaced.
