[bksvol-discuss] Proofreading Hiatus for Lissi Until Late Monday

Hello Fellow Booksharians,
Just a short note to let you all know that Lissi has had some serious computer
trouble, but she should be back online by Monday evening.
I'm just mentioning it here because I know there are several people whose scans
she proofreads on a regular basis and we thought that it would be a good idea
to let you know that she is not willingly neglecting her proofreading.
A gentleman who definitely knows what he is doing IMHO, took a look at it this
morning. In addition to having an extensive virus infection, which her
antivirus software did not tell her about, she needs either a new video card, a
new monitor, or both. He was having trouble seeing the screen well enough to
work effectively. He will be bringing both on Monday. Also, the system will get
a complete disk wipe and reinstallation of Windows XP and all her applications
to clear out the virus, and also to get rid of a number of malfunctions
involving Windows that were around before the virus infection.
Hopefully,, if all goes well, she'll be able to get back in action by Monday
evening. Because she's told me, I know that she very much misses proofreading
and is eager to get back to it as soon as ever she can.
