My next scan I will have to see if that works; FineReader Pro 9 also creates
them and I know a simple copy and paste does not find them, so they all had
to be manually removed.

You're welcome! I only know this because OmniPage does those optional
hyphens and before I didn't know I had to get rid of them. Once I knew what
they were and the problem they caused, I figured out how to get rid of them
in word. Maybe one day I will figure out how to get rid of them in OmniPage.
