  Dear Sue;

It's times like this I wish we were all closer geographically. Grins. It
sounds like a yummy recipe, maybe someday I can talk someone here into trying
it out. With it being just Doug and I who eat, and me being overweight, baking
something like that would be a definite no-no. Sampling on the other hand… wink.

Have a very happy new year!

  Valerie

A sorry I can't help you, but what is Texas cake? A Google search for it,
though, found this:

This Texas sheet cake is made with sour cream and cocoa and a frosting
with chopped pecans.
      Cook Time: 20 minutes
      Total Time: 20 minutes
      Ingredients:
        a.. 1 cup butter
        b.. 1 cup water
        c.. 1/4 cup cocoa
        d.. 2 cups sugar
        e.. 2 cups flour
        f.. 1/8 teaspoon salt
        g.. 2 eggs
        h.. 1 teaspoon baking soda
        i.. 1/2 cup sour cream
        j.. 1 teaspoon vanilla
        k.. Frosting, below
        l.. chopped pecans
      Preparation:
      Frosting
        a.. 1/2 cup butter
        b.. 1/4 cup cocoa
        c.. 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons milk
        d.. 1 box (1 pound) confectioners' sugar, sifted (4 1/4 cups sifted)
        e.. 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Cake: Combine butter, water, and cocoa in saucepan over medium heat; heat
until butter melts. Add sugar, flour, salt, eggs, soda, sour cream, and
vanilla; mix well. Pour into a 15x10x1-inch jelly roll pan. Bake at 350° for 20
minutes. Spread frosting over hot cake and sprinkle with chopped pecans.
For frosting, combine butter, cocoa, and milk in a saucepan; bring to a
boil. Add remaining ingredients and mix well with electric mixer. Spread over
the hot sheet cake then sprinkle with chopped pecans.

If the recipe comes across as an image instead of text, let me know and I
can try to send it again or send you a couple of links.

      Sounds really good!

      Valerie
