Yes, Amber, yOu do. but they only cost about $20 at the most and yu can now 
also buy readers with a variety of slots so that all cards can be used. You'll 
love being able to do this though; I find it by far the simplest way for 
transferring information from the computer to the BraillenOTE. Jill
