Hi Sue, redrawing the screen is a function in Window Eyes which causes its browse mode buffer to be reloaded, which basically means that Window Eyes takes another snapshot of the current screen, which does not always get refreshed when you click a link. Don't know whether other screen readers have this function or not. They might but may call it something else, or they may not need such a thing.

Evan,

What do you mean by redrawing the screen? I have never seen that term before.

Did you try redrawing the screen or turning browse mode off and then on
again? Sometimes these can help. If you tried those, then maybe someone else
has an idea.

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] New Bookshelf Feature

This morning I got around to reading about the new bookshelf feature on
Bookshare, its purposes, and how to use it.
I set up two bookshelves, chose a book and entered on the "add to Bookshelf"
link, and nothing happened. I tried twice more, and nothing happened. No
dropdown box appeared, nothing changed on the screen at all.

I am using Window Eyes 8, Internet Explorer 9 and am running Windows 7.

Any thoughts? Didn't think this was rocket science.

Lori C.
