Hi Judy! You could just put some stars on the pages you wish to protect instead of moving all those numbers. Page break Blank line ***** blank line It is not necessary to move ANY page numbers. People have just been posting their methods, and none of these methods is set in stone. Hope this helps, Sue S. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Judy s." <cherryjam@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, May 18, 2008 4:20 PM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Moving page numbers to tops of pages I understand the rational for "one way" to protect chapter headings etc. that appear at the top of the page. I do understand that moving all the page numbers to the tops of pages works. smile. However. As someone who is keyboard disabled, that will be a flat stop to my ability to validate any book that hasn't already had the numbers moved there. I've done that with some average-length books (about 300 pages each), and it took me - literally - hours per book just to move the page numbers. So I ask that when both volunteers and staff consider solutions, please keep in mind that one size doesn't fit all in terms of how easy it is to implement, when it comes to solving the titles and chapter headings problem. smile Judy s.
