With my original OCR program, which was Fine Reader, the same thing appened to
me, i.e. it froze if I did too many pages as a timne so I settled on 10 or 12.
The one I have now only allows me to do a page at a time because it's a limited
free version. However, it scans more qickly and saves and coverts more qickly.
Maybe that's because I'm only doing one page at a time. grin. So I scan and
save and then open everything and paste into the Word documnt before
valdiating. OF course noe I'm not doing hwole books--just missing pages or
chapters.

BUt before, when I was doinog books, I was writing down the page numbers as I
scanned tham and still I found I'd souble-scanned or omitted. You're
right--we're only human. smile
