"To me, music that breaks your heart is the music that stays with you forever.
It's one thing to be melancholy and one thing to be sophisticated, but when you
get the two of them together in a way people can relate to, then I think you're
on to something. You want the sophistication to lie in the purity of the sound,
the beauty of the arrangements, and the quality of the performances."-Trumpeter

Hmmm, I can't try it again because I'm already subscribed. And I don't
remember from when I signed up almost four years ago, how I did it, by using
the form or some other method. I'm thinking that Chela's description of how to
join that list is probably more convenient than the one I gave in any case.

I have filled out that form several times and gotten no response.

If it works for you, please let me know.

    Thanks.

I had forgotten how to do this. You have to go to the following link

      http://www.kurzweiledu.com/support_listserv_signup.asp

and fill out a form to subscribe.

Hmmm, you should probably write to the K1000 list. There are people
there with a lot of technical knowledge, including those from the company. Are
you subscribed to that?

I have tried that, and nothing happens. I close Kurzweil, and
relaunch it, only to find the microsoft voice back.

What happens if you go into Settings, change the speech back to
Eloquence, then save your settings under Default? Then reload K1000 and see
which speech you get. Have you tried that?

                Hi, all.

Something very strange has happened to my kurzweil. For some
reason, it's voice has defaulted to microsoft narrator, which is horrid, rather
than eloquence, which I prefer. I uninstalled, and re-installed, and still, the
problem persists. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? I'm running
version 11, on a windows XP machine.
