Have you seen the book? What are the margins like? Is it a hardback or paper? Do I have to buy it?

Does it in fact have sidebars, graphics, or tables?
Please give me the title again.
Thanks.

Thanks. If I did not have the personal connection, I don't know that I would take on a project like that. It is not that I am unwilling to scan books, I am just terrible at it. And because I'm terrible at it, I hate it.

Lisa;

I wish I felt up to big projects, but they are just not in my wheelhouse. I am really enjoying the new Optic Book 3900 scanner that is both Mac and PC compatible. ABBYY FineReader Pro is finally making a functional scanning program for the Mac, albeit not quite as advanced as the PC version. I was thinking you are blind, though, and I am not sure how well it works with voiceover since I am sighted. If I can help with pointers, though, let me know.

For all the people wanting to scan on an Optic Book scanner on a Mac, I cannot recommend the 3900 highly enough. The best part for me is that the lid can lift off so that you can work in tight spaces. I was able to get it for $300 shipped from Adorama which I thought was worth it for a new product from a trusted company.

If no one picks this up, I guess I’ll try this myself. That is pretty sad, because I am terrible at scanning, and doing it on a Mac. So if I get stuck scanning this book, I may ask for some tips. Like I said, me scanning is a pretty sad idea. I have a hard time scanning our mail.

Thanks
Lisa
