Yes, Roger's idea sounds like a good solution. Much better than just putting "new chapter".

Roger,

I definitely agree with you on this one. There are far too many people who
use Daisy navigation & need something like that. So far, your idea wins the
blue ribbon!

Thanks,
- Doug

I think I would insert the word chapter with a number all in brackets at
each of those places. It is a clear division in the book and there is no
other convenient way to indicate it and the brackets show that the words
have been inserted.

I agree with you, but I have seen the book and there are no chapter
titles or headings. Just a large amount of whitespace, indicating a
complete change from the previous page.

I have never, in all the years I have been reading, seen a book that
just said, "new chapter." Do you have the book? Sometimes chapter
titles or headings don't scan.

No, there's not even a table of contents. But I do agree that
something should be added to denote a change, other than asterisks
that would only indicate to the readers that there is whitespace. This is
a lot different.

The "New Chapter" makes more sense to me. Even if I have to put
something in brackets.

Does the Table of Contents indicate that there are different chapters
with names or numbers? If so, I'd suggest putting them in yourself; or
in the space at the beginning of the page write "New Chapter"
(perhaps in caps)

Madeleine, et al.,

I am working on a book that does not have chapter numbers or chapter
names.
However, ever so often throughout the book, where they would normally
be chapter changes, there is simply an amount of whitespace at the
beginning of a page. Normally, of course, I would use the * * * to
indicate the blank space, but those are used throughout the book for
that
reason.
So, what would you suggest that I do on those pages so that there are
navigational points?

Thanks!
