Hi All, Great to see all the feedback coming in for the new site. I think Carrie might have mentioned this already, but we've put in a request for the short synopses to be reinstated where they were before, and it will likely be fixed for the next release. We can certainly see why it would be missed and apologize for the temporary inconvenience on your end. I have been compiling a list of the other issues you've identified both on the list and in offline emails (such as the need for a screen acknowledgement after Check In of a book etc), and we will present them to the team here when we meet to go over priority fixes for the new site. Thanks for your patience as we work with engineering and the other teams to iron out the unavoidable initial kinks that accompany transitions of this kind! I wanted that feature. I do want to see a short synopsis too though. I want both, not an either or deal. I don't want to open a books individual page unless I want more details about it. Why have both a short and long synopsis if they are going to appear together on the book information page?--Makes no sense. In the past I'd use the short synopses on the "new books" page to determine whether or not I wanted to do further investigation. But, I'm not going to bring up a new screen for a book unless I really think I want to read it, as that could take a long time. As I said in the beginning, I think the jury is still out on the new site--they still have problems so I think we should give them time to work some of those out. I do wish they had asked us what we thought about the layout before surprising us with it. After all, we might have some ideas of our own. I miss the short synopsis appearing on the browse books page. Why on earth was that taken away.
