[bksvol-discuss] How do I fix my scanner to work with?

I just bought a 64 bit Toshiba Satellite l305 laptop.
I updated the drivers and now although the scanner is in scan and
recognize mode it isn't reading material correctly. It remembers the
last item it read correctly and won't read anything new. When I reset
it the scanner goes to image scanning only. Can you give me any tips
on how to fix this problem.
