Hi, everyone. I'm trying to scan a mass market quality paperback and
am having a rough time of it. I'm using Kurzweil 11 and have
optimized scan settings twice. I'm still getting a 96 percent
accuracy rate and am getting words like certaindy instead of
certainly. In almost every case, the letters ly are recognized as a
d, and the letter w is often seen as a v. I tried going to 400
resolution with no change. So right now I have settings of static
threshold, 35 brightness, and 300 resolution with normal text
type. Does anyone have some ideas on what I can try next? Should I
be using grey scale for paperbacks? Thanks.
