[bksvol-discuss] Grrr! At least I tried.

It occured to me that GoodReads.com might be a good place to recruit
Bookshare volunteers. So, I have just been trying to edit my profile there to
do
just that. I wrote a really eloquent essay explaining Bookshare and urging
anyone who read it to come on over and volunteer and then I clicked the save
button. That is when I found out that I had a 2000 character limit and I had
far exceeded it. I went back to the edit field and started to cut my efforts
down and I was doing it with much pain because I thought I had written it
very well. When I finally finished I went out of forms mode to read my
handiwork and promptly hit the refresh key by accident. I lost everything.
Okay,
I started all over. I tightened up my writing style and managed to get
another plug for Bookshare that was about 1960 characters long. Then I
accidentally closed the whole web site and lost the whole thing again. After a
good
scream of exasperation I started over again. This time my eloquence was
something to be proud of even if I was writing with clenched teeth. It came to
1997 characters this time with only three characters to spare and sighing in
relief I clicked the save button. The relief was short-lived. For whatever
reason that I cannot fathom my work did not save and my about me section of my
profile remained blank. At least for now I give up. It still looks like a
good place to recruit volunteers though. Maybe some of the rest of you might
like to try it.

tremble with indignation at every injustice then you are a comrade of mine."
