Hi Judy.

That must be some book!

I downloaded it just fine, I'm lucky to have high-speed connectivity because the file took a long time to download. However, that's where my luck ran out.

I couldn't open the file with ie7, firefox 3.5 or Kurzweil 10.05. In each case my system hung up and required a dishonorable reboot. I expect this has something to do with the large file-size, but have no proof of that.

I also downloaded the Braille version, and will try to open it with Kurzweil next.

Fortunately I didn't even try getting the book with images.

Hope this information helps. If I get it to open somehow I'll let you know.

Bob (who loves a challenge, but his system doesn't).

Thanks, Doug! Another list member tried it, too, using IE8, and she couldn't get the daisy file to work, the way I can't either. But if you can, than the file can't be corrupt. Not sure what I'm going to try next, but support suggested I call them next week if I can't get it to work on my system. I may end up doing that.

It took me a while to find it because the 2009 in the title comes before
Writer's Market. I was searching the other way around until I clicked on the
link you put in. No problem downloading and opening it. Unzipping was a
breeze. Everything worked like normal for me.

I need I favor, if someone can help out.

I've tried downloading the title "Writer's Market 2009" five
times now, on three different days. I've used Firefox and
Seamonkey both, and tried downloading all three types of
downloads it's available in: the DAISY file, the Daisy with
images file and the brf file. I'm using a dial-up link, and this
is a fairly large book, so it's slow, but I download tons of
stuff regularly and don't have problems.

My browsers say that that all the zips download successfully, but
I know they haven't as the finished zip file size is anywhere
from 200K to 800K smaller than it should be. When I test the zip
file, or try to open it, both winzip and 7zip say that it isn't a
valid archive.

I contacted support, and support sent me back an email right away
that said they tested it and can open the zip without any trouble.

If someone could download and then open the DAISY version of this
for me, to see if a member can get it to work correctly, and then
let me know the results, I'd be really grateful. Here's the link:
