Dear All, I was a bit confused yesterday after sending out the note below and still continuing to see questions about the approval queue books on the list. Then I realized that I had sent the note to the bookshare general discussion list instead of the volunteer list. Apologies for the mistake and hence the delayed response from our end. Several of these outsourcers have completed the "pilot phase" with Bookshare and the books they work on are now being submitted en masse directly to the approval queue (which is why you will see sudden spikes in the number of books in that queue). Staff at Bookshare checks each of these books before they enter the collection, so it will take some time before they are all added. Carrie makes a special point to prioritize volunteer submissions in the approval queue though so you shouldn't see a slow down in getting your books in. I checked this morning and there are 523 books on the waiting list. Has there been some major cutbacks at Bookshare?
