Hi, Jamie, I'm so very, very sorry this book was so difficult for you. I can't thank you enough for your patience and perseverance in this. I love these books and wish they were easier to obtain and scan as they are such good family stories. These issues make me afraid to even scan any book, whether old or new, and I can't thank you enough and others willing to tackle classics as well as new releases that are a challenge for whatever reason, but rest assured, you made a fantastic story available to many people who otherwise wouldn't have access to it. Have a blessed day and keep up your fantastic work. ----- Original Message ----- From: Jamie Yates, CPhT To: Bookshare Volunteers Sent: Thursday, September 10, 2009 9:42 PM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Don't Call Me Katie Rose Finally, I am done with Don't Call Me Katie Rose. I feel like it should be titled Don't Scan Katie Rose. It was such a tough scan. I forced myself to finish it tonight just because I am tired of looking at it! The book is so old, the pages are dirty, the finding is sewn where I can see the sewing which means the words are really close to the binding and I had to be so careful in scanning to get all of the page or it would get lost in the middle. The print is horrible, too many c's look like e's, the punctuation all wanted to scan with letter space punctuation. Just a warning for whoever wants to proofread it. I doubt it's going to be an easy proofread. I did as much work to it as I could stand to do. -- Jamie in Michigan Currently Reading: Bare Bones by Kathy Reichs See everything I've read this year at: www.michrxtech.com/books.html
