HI Tim, Sometimes it takes forever and a day to check in books. Sometimes it's due to slow internet speeds on the part of the uploader's internet connection. And sometimes it's because the Bookshare web site is taking forever and a day to do what it does. I suggest waiting a while and seeing if it's better in a few hours, or maybe even a few minutes. If the problem persists for more than a day, I'd guess that your internet provider is way scary slow, or something else on your end. I had this problem for many reasons in the last few months. I first got annoyed with the sluggishness of the Bookshare web site, which sometimes is justified. But I had to take back my annoyance when my internet provider admitted that there was indeed, and had been for weeks, a sluggishness problem in my area due to something electrical that I don't begin to understand. Just keep trying, and if it doesn't improve within the next day, let us know. Maybe you're not alone and Bookshare can help.
